Blocking SpinDog and linked casinos, and who to call

A separate break request at each Fortaprime casino

SpinDog and the casinos whose code carries the same company number are separate sites: none of the terms examined says that a limit, a cooling-off period or a self-exclusion set at one brand is applied at the others. Bilucky’s and SupraPlay’s terms describe self-exclusion for a single player account, and SpinDog’s live code has no exclusion wording that a player can read. Registered at more than one Fortaprime casino? Write to each support team separately, keep the replies, and play at none of them in the meantime.

GAMSTOP, and blocking software on every device

Registering with GAMSTOP, the online self-exclusion scheme, costs nothing and runs for a minimum period picked at sign-up, from six months through one year to five years, the last with an automatic renewal option. Reaching the minimum does not end the exclusion by itself: without auto-renewal it runs on until the player asks GAMSTOP to lift it, which takes at least 24 hours, or for up to seven more years, after which it lapses.

Blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker belongs on every phone, tablet and laptop you gamble on, whether you have joined the GAMSTOP register or not. GAMSTOP itself describes blocking software as something installed on all your devices to stop gambling websites and apps opening on them, so it acts on the device rather than depending on any casino’s own tools.

Other blocks worth setting up

• A bank gambling block. Where a bank offers one, it can stop card payments into gambling accounts; GAMSTOP lists it among the services to combine with registering.
• Crypto. SpinDog’s terms say its deposit limits do not apply to crypto deposits. A bank card block stops card payments only, so pair it with blocking software on each device and a self-exclusion at every casino where you hold an account.
